Eleições e comportamento político de adolescentes escolares: um estudo dasrepresentações sociais / Elections and political behavior of adolescent students: a study of socialrepresentations

Socialmente relevante, o comportamento político é assunto de interesse da Psicologia Social, mas ainda é pouco estudado no contexto de adolescentes e suas experiências subjetivas. Este artigo aborda as representações sociais elaboradas por adolescentes escolares acerca daseleições e os aspectos políticos que a envolvem. Participaram do estudo 129 adolescentes com idades entre 16 e 18 anos incompletos, os quais responderam à associação livre de palavras (política, político, eleições, voto), cuja análise fatorial de correspondência foi realizada pelo TriDeux-Mots. O saber compartilhado pelos adolescentes foi organizado em função do tipo de escola, nível de interesse político, sexo e opinião dos estudantes quanto ao voto facultativo. Socially relevant, the political behavior is a subject of interest of Social Psychology, but has been little studied in the context of teenagers and their subjective experiences. This article approaches the social representations elaborated by teenagers students about the elections and related subjects. Study participants were 129 teenagers with ages between 16 and 18 years old, who completed the free word association (political, politician, elections, vote) whose factorial analysis was performed by Tri-Deux-Mots. The knowledge shared by the teens were organized according to the type of school, level of political interest, sex and the students’opinion about the optional voting. Representações sociais da Copa do Mundo, da FIFA e da seleção brasileira de futebol / Social representations of the World Cup, FIFA and the Brazilian national soccer team

O presente trabalho investiga representações sociais acerca da copa do mundo, da seleção brasileira de futebol e da FIFA. Trata-se de uma pesquisa com 202 pessoas, estudantesuniversitários, de uma universidade pública da Paraíba. Os resultados revelaram uma diferença entre as evocações emergidas entre os gêneros, como também, em função da classe social, sendo os homens mais positivos em relação à copa e a seleção do que as mulheres e os menos favorecidos economicamente sendo os mais críticos. Concluiu-se que as representações sociais proporcionaram um melhor entendimento sobre a Copa do Mundo, FIFA e seleção brasileira, abrindo-se uma importante avenida para estudos na psicologia social.

This paper investigates the social representations of the world cup, the Brazilian soccer team and FIFA. It is a survey with 202 people, college students, from a public university ofParaíba. The results revealed a difference in evocations between the genders, as well as between the social class, men being more positive towards the World Cup and the brazillian soccer team than women and the economically underprivileged being the most critical. It was found that social representations have provided a better understanding of the World Cup, FIFA and the Brazillian soccer team, opening up an important opportunity for research in social psychology.
